TABLE OF CLASSIFICATION OF POLLUTION LEVELS BASED ON THE AQI INDICATOR

US AQI (AQI America)

Note: Values above 500 are considered to exceed the recorded range of AQI. Follow the recommendations for the Dangerous category. Additional information on reducing exposure to extremely high levels of particulate pollution is provided in the published document.

Each corresponds to a different level of health concern. The six levels of health care and their meaning are:

• "Good" AQI from 0 to 50: Air quality is considered satisfactory and air pollution causes little or no risk.
• "Medium" AQI from 51 to 100: Air quality is acceptable; However, for some contaminants there may be a moderate health concern for a very small number of people. For example, people sensitive to abnormal ozone may experience respiratory symptoms.
• "Not good for sensitive people" AQI from 101 to 150: Although the general public is not likely to be affected at this level of AQI, people with lung disease, older adults and children are at higher risk. than when exposed to ozone, while people with heart and lung disease, older adults and children are at higher risk of respiratory illnesses due to high levels of airborne dust.
• "Not good for health" AQI from 151 to 200: People may begin to experience some health problems and members of sensitive groups may experience more severe effects.
• "Extremely unhealthy" AQI from 201 to 300: This is a health warning threshold that shows people may have more serious health effects.
• "Dangerous" AQI greater than 300: This will trigger a health alert about an emergency. The entire population is more likely to be affected.
